About Discover Marrakech

Discover Marrakech is an independent guide to Marrakech. It currently covers 201 places across 8 categories and 12 neighbourhoods, published in five languages (French, English, Spanish, German, Arabic).

The selection is editorial: each address is picked one by one. This is not an exhaustive directory, nor an automated ranking. We favour places with a character of their own — cooking, architecture, craft, atmosphere — and deliberately cover a range of price levels, from neighbourhood spots to exceptional tables.

A listing is only published once we have verifiable information: address, category, neighbourhood, and — where the venue shares them — opening hours, price range and contact details.

The ratings and review counts shown on listings come from Google and are labelled as such. They are third-party data provided as context: they are not our verdict, and they do not determine whether a place appears in the guide.

Being listed is free and cannot be bought. We do offer paid services to venues (featured placement, sponsored content), described on our Partners page; whenever content is sponsored, it is labelled as such. Some booking links may be affiliate links, at no extra cost to you.

A city guide ages quickly: venues change their hours, their menu, sometimes they close. We update the guide continuously and publish what's on in the city in the News section.
