Kimpton, Virgin: two landmark openings are taking shape around Marrakech

Marrakech's hotel scene keeps drawing the big international names. IHG has confirmed Morocco's first Kimpton: a 67-key lifestyle boutique hotel developed with Sirayane Hospitality, with rooftop restaurant, spa and pools, expected in late 2026.

Meanwhile Virgin Limited Edition — Richard Branson's group — opens bookings in September 2026 for its new 10-hectare estate about 25 minutes from Marrakech, whose first 22 suites will welcome guests in early 2027.

These openings are part of the destination's acceleration ahead of the 2030 World Cup, which Marrakech will co-host — the Grand Stade is already undergoing its full rebuild.
