At MACAAL, Prune Nourry's monumental installation is on view until January
20 July 2026

"Statues Also Breathe", 108 sculptures honouring the Chibok schoolgirls, fills MACAAL's atrium until 8 January 2027 — and "Under Destruction" closes 2 August.
The Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden (MACAAL) hosts "Statues Also Breathe" by French artist Prune Nourry with the Catharsis Arts Foundation: 108 sculptures installed in the atrium in tribute to the abducted Chibok schoolgirls. On view until 8 January 2027.
Last chance, however, for "Under Destruction", the solo show by Moroccan artist Ismail Alaoui Fdili, which closes on 2 August 2026. The collection rehang, "Seven Contours, One Collection", completes the visit.
MACAAL sits in Al Maaden, about fifteen minutes from the centre — the perfect contemporary-art morning away from the bustle of the medina.
