Sidi Ghanem: The Guide to Marrakech's Design District (2026)
Discover Marrakech · 20 July 2026

The former industrial zone turned capital of Moroccan design: our 6 verified showrooms and ateliers, from LRNCE to Chabi Chic, with visiting tips.
What to see in Sidi Ghanem in 2026? LRNCE STUDIO for the ceramics and contemporary design that became cult from Antwerp to New York, Chabi Chic for tableware (from 130 MAD), Côté Bougie for handmade candles exported to palaces worldwide, and Héritage Berbère for perfumery (rated 5.0). Our guide to the design district's 6 verified addresses — updated July 2026.
Sidi Ghanem is a conversion story: an 80s industrial zone twenty minutes from the centre, colonised by makers, ateliers and showrooms. Today it is where hoteliers, decorators and savvy travellers come to source “the beautiful Moroccan” — without the souk's negotiations.
The essential stop: LRNCE STUDIO (from 400 MAD), Laurence Leenaert's brand whose ceramics and rugs travel from Antwerp concept stores to Instagram riads. Two streets away, Maison Sarayan blends furniture, craft and fashion in a showroom-gallery.
Tableware and home: Chabi Chic (from 130 MAD) stays the most accessible entry point — dishes, candles and a concept store under one roof. Côté Bougie (from 500 MAD) makes, right here, the candles you find in the world's palaces, and sells retail at the workshop.
The artisans: Lamsaty Handmade (from 300 MAD) opens its atelier to families — kids leave with their own creation — and Héritage Berbère distills perfumery inspired by Amazigh rituals (rated 5.0, from 300 MAD). Two addresses where you buy a story, not an object.
Practical: count 50–70 MAD by petit taxi from Guéliz, aim for weekday mornings (showrooms run on professional rhythms and several close on Sunday — check each listing), and leave room in the suitcase: everything here makes you want to redecorate.
The 6 addresses below are tested and verified by our editors — our Sidi Ghanem neighbourhood page completes the picture.
